M. YAFFE, CPA
Dave
joined T. M. Byxbee in 1979 as a junior accountant,
became a CPA in 1981 and a principal of the
Firm in 1989. He provides traditional services
to his clients such as accounting, auditing,
tax preparation and advice as well as specialty
services including litigation support, business
consulting, business valuations and representation
before taxing authorities. He primarily serves
closely-held businesses, non-profit organizations
and individuals. Dave is a member of both
the American Institute of CPA's and the Connecticut
Society of CPA's.
Dave
received his bachelors degree in mathematics
from the University of Connecticut in 1970
and has studied accounting and finance at
the University of New Haven on both the undergraduate
and graduate levels. He was raised in West
Haven, attending the public school system
through high school and currently resides
in Wallingford.
He
is Treasurer of the West Haven Chamber of
Commerce, a Director of Whitney Center, a
not-for-profit continuing care retirement
community, and Treasurer of the Jewish Historical
Society of Greater New Haven. He has served
on the Opera Committee of the Shubert Performing
Arts Center and has volunteered as a math
instructor for the New Haven Adult Basic Education
Program.
His
interests include the arts, especially music,
and he is an avid sports fan, enjoying recreational
participation in basketball.
